Your Torrox holiday includes:
  • Courtesy airport transfer leaves Málaga airport for Torrox at 12.00.
  • Courtesy airport transfer leaves Torrox on departure day for Málaga airport at 09.00 .
  • 7 nights accommodation in a village house.
  • Interesting and varied programme of walks
  • Breakfast Starter Pack.
  • 5 picnics and salads, including healthy snacks and fruit juice.
  • 6 meals inc. wine and water.( Meals not included on Rest Day and no dinner included if there is a late lunch day at a restaurant)
  • Services of 2 friendly and experienced guides on each walk.


Houses are allocated on a shared basis.
Guests stay in traditional village houses in the charming white village of Torrox.  All the houses have been restored and furnished with modern conveniences. All guests have a private bathroom.

There is a breakfast pack in all the houses.This includes croissants, coffee, butter, jam, orange juice and milk.All lunches are provided on walk days. Evening meals are enjoyed at a selection of village restaurants.Dinner includes wine and water.( Dinner not included on rest day or late lunch day).On the rest day we are happy to recommend restaurants and tapas bars for your free evening.

Transport is by comfortable, air conditioned 4 X 4 vehicle or mini bus to the start of the walk.

The walks are up to 4-5 hours duration at a pace that allows you to appreciate the beauty of our surroundings.** Please read and take note of the steep ascents and descents on loose surface**

Here is a sample itinerary of our walks in Andalucia.Please note the ascend and descends.

Day 1:   

Walk Andalucia will meet you at Málaga Airport and transfer you to your house in Torrox Pueblo. 

Depending on arrival time in the village there will be a light lunch.An opportunity to get to know your fellows walkers and hosts Paul and Victoria.

Welcome dinner at village restaurant.


Day 2.  Torrox Discovery Walk. 15 kms. 1053 feet.321 meters.

Local walk from the village of Torrox. You will see and hear about the rich history of this Moorish village. Climb steadily to reach the top of a ridge line,  admire the wonderful views of the Sierra Almijara.

Passing through olive, advocado, orange,lomquat and almond groves. Return via Rio Torrox.

Day 3.    Frigiliana. 9 kms. 1348 feet 411 meters.

Autumn sunshine

Circular walk starting from the picturesque white village of Frigiliana.

Following a mountain stream in a beautiful gorge, ascending a rugged footpath to a ridgeline with spectacular views.On our return to Frigiliana there is an opportunity to enjoy a cold beer or coffee or spend some time exploring the pretty streets and artesan shops.

 Day 4    El Acebuchal and Cerro Verde. 12kms. 1748 feet 411 meters.

Walk from the historic ‘ lost ‘ hamlet of El Acebuchal through wild, open countryside with ascent to just below the summit of Cerro Verde, 300 ft. Great views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Route traverses dry river bed, forest tracks and foot paths. This route was well used by the Civil Guard and The Republicans during the Spanish Civil War.

Late lunch at Restaurant El Acebuchal.

Free evening.

Day 5.  Rest day.

We will be happy to provide you with maps, timetables and plenty of information to help you enjoy your rest day.

Day 6. Walk of two Provinces. 13 km. 2132 feet. 650 meters.









Walk begins along a disused railway line line from where we will ascend to the ridge line of Hoyo del Toro. Pass through a pine forest and admire the views towards the provinces of Málaga and Granada.

Dinner at village restaurant.

Day 7. Alcaucin and Forest. 15 km. 1450 feet. 442 meters.







Walk through wild, forest on the north side of the highest mountain in this region.A lovely walk through National Park with 360º views.

We reguarly see Spanish Ibex and eagles on this walk.

Farewell dinner at village restaurant.


Day 8.  Adios from Walk Andalucia.

Courtesy transfer to Málaga airport leaves at 09.00.
