In the Middle Ages the Muslim world stretched from Southern Portugal in the West to Samarkand in the East, mostly encompassing the Southern shores of the Mediterranean. Its culture both attracted and repelled the nations of Europe.

Nowhere in the world can you see the collision of three monumental cultures so clearly and to such dramatic effect as in Andalucia.. The Muslims (who called the region "Al-Andalúz"), Jews and Christians all contributed to a vital, if ultimately tragic, history.

Coloured by the many cultures that have left their mark through the centuries, Andalucia is a glorious patchwork of Moorish, Catholic and Jewish architecture. Contrasting influences sit in harmony in this friendly, lively and beautiful part of southern Spain. Our tour is an excellent introduction to the region. Staying in traditional village houses and enjoying the company of like-minded people, our itinerary takes you on a memorable journey of discovery.

WHAT THE PRICE INCLUDES

Accommodation
Guests stay in traditional village houses, which have been both sympathetically restored and furnished with all modern conveniences and most have their own shower/wc, satellite TV, washing machine, fridge freezer. All linen is provided and all the houses have beautiful terraces with views over the village, the surrounding countryside or the sea.

Food
A breakfast welcome pack is placed in all the houses (breakfast to be taken on a self-catering basis).  Otherwise all meals are provided at a selection of hand picked restaurants. including wine or soft drinks.

Transport
All necessary transport during the trip is included. Airport transfers at specified times

Entrance Fees
Included wherever it is part of the itinerary

Staff
On all trips we provide a leader or local representative, assisted by local guides, drivers and any other staff as appropriate.
